Corn Rice
Corn rice is a very tasty lunch box or snack item which kids are bound to like. It could be prepared using leftover rice at home. Baby corn or american sweet corn could be used depending on what is available. Learnt from Pavana Bhat.
Make a paste out of 3 red chillies, a little tamarind and 5-6 garlic cloves. Then, in a fry pan, take a little ghee. Crackle 1/4 tsp jeera/cumin seeds in it. Fry a lengthwise chopped onion in it until it turns pink. Add thinly chopped squares of 5-6 babycorns. Fry adding required amount of salt. Mix the paste n cook with covered lid for 4-5 minutes. Finally add optimum amount of rice, 2 tsp of tomato ketchup and salt and heat well for 5 minutes. Tasty corn rice Is ready!
